Sometimes a removable prostehesis can became a good orthodontic appliance.
If a first bicuspid is tipped mesially and additional space is required for implant placement, is possible to add a simple closing spring to the acrylic. A 0.6-0.7 stainless steel wire can easily be adapted.
This is a time and cost effective system to prepare the patient for future prosthetic treatment.
Usually these patients are happy to maintain their smiles during the orthodontic phase of treatment.
